Overview
The DJI Matrice 3TD builds on the Matrice 3D platform by adding an integrated radiometric thermal camera, making it the dock-compatible solution of choice for thermal inspection, security monitoring, and emergency response. Like the M3D, it pairs with the DJI Dock 2 for fully autonomous, around-the-clock operations without requiring on-site personnel.
The M3TD features a triple-camera payload: a wide-angle visible camera, a medium tele zoom camera with up to 56x hybrid zoom, and a 640×512 thermal imaging sensor. The thermal camera supports precise temperature measurement and features split-screen and picture-in-picture display modes for simultaneous visible and thermal feeds. This combination enables operators to detect heat anomalies on solar farms, identify hotspots on electrical infrastructure, locate missing persons, and monitor perimeter security.
With up to 38 minutes of flight time, IP55 weather protection, omnidirectional obstacle sensing, and centimetre-level RTK accuracy, the M3TD delivers reliable autonomous operations in demanding conditions. It integrates fully with DJI FlightHub 2 for remote tasking and real-time situational awareness, and supports automated thermal inspection routes with AI-powered anomaly detection.
