Overview
The DJI Dock 2 is a compact, weatherproof drone-in-a-box solution that enables fully autonomous, remote drone operations with the DJI Matrice 3D and Matrice 3TD. Designed for permanent outdoor installation, the Dock 2 automatically charges the drone, plans and executes missions, and uploads data to the cloud — all without requiring on-site personnel. This enables organisations to establish persistent aerial monitoring at remote sites such as solar farms, construction projects, mining operations, and critical infrastructure.
The Dock 2 features a compact footprint, IP55 weather protection, and an operating temperature range of -35°C to 50°C, ensuring year-round operation in harsh Australian conditions. Its integrated weather station monitors wind speed, rainfall, temperature, and humidity to automatically determine safe flying conditions, and a built-in surveillance camera provides live video of the dock area for security monitoring.
Managed entirely through DJI FlightHub 2, the Dock 2 supports scheduled missions, on-demand flights, and automated inspection routines. Operators can plan, monitor, and retrieve mission data from anywhere with internet connectivity. The system supports 4G LTE and Ethernet connectivity, and features remote diagnostics, firmware updates, and health monitoring for minimal maintenance requirements.
