DJI Matrice 350 RTK End of Life — Meet the DJI Matrice 400

The DJI Matrice 350 RTK has been the backbone of enterprise drone operations across Australia for years — powering survey, inspection, and mapping missions in mining, construction, energy, and infrastructure. But with DJI announcing the Matrice 400 as its successor, the M350 RTK has reached end-of-life status.

If you're currently flying the M350 RTK, planning to buy one, or wondering what comes next — this guide covers everything you need to know about the transition.

What's Happening to the DJI Matrice 350 RTK?

DJI has officially designated the Matrice 350 RTK as an end-of-life product. This means:

  • New units are no longer being manufactured
  • Remaining stock is limited to what dealers currently hold
  • DJI will continue to honour existing Care plans and provide firmware support for a transition period
  • Spare parts and accessories remain available while stock lasts

If you already own an M350 RTK, your aircraft continues to operate normally. However, for new purchases and fleet expansion, the Matrice 400 is now the recommended platform.

DJI Matrice 400 — What's New

The Matrice 400 is DJI's next-generation flagship enterprise drone, designed as a direct successor to the M350 RTK. Key improvements include:

  • Enhanced flight performance — Improved motors and aerodynamics for better stability in challenging Australian conditions including high winds and extreme heat
  • Full payload compatibility — Supports all current Zenmuse payloads including the H30, H30T, L2, P1, S1, and V1
  • Built-in RTK — Centimetre-level positioning accuracy for survey-grade results
  • IP55 weather protection — Reliable operation in rain, dust, and harsh environments
  • O4 Enterprise transmission — DJI's latest video transmission system with improved range and reliability
  • New battery system — TB100 batteries with BS100 battery station for efficient field charging
  • RC Plus 2 controller — Updated remote controller with improved display and connectivity

What About My Existing M350 RTK Accessories?

The Matrice 400 uses a new battery system (TB100/BS100), new propellers, and the RC Plus 2 controller. However, all your existing Zenmuse payloads — H30, H30T, L2, P1, and others — are fully compatible with the M400. This means your most significant investment (payloads) carries forward.

We continue to stock M350 RTK spare parts and accessories including TB65 batteries, BS65 battery stations, propellers, gimbal connectors, and storage cases for customers maintaining existing fleets.
